For over 100 years, Bayfront Medical Center has been at the forefront of healthcare in St. Petersburg, Florida.
We are proud of our tradition of excellence and state-of-the-art care for the people of Tampa Bay.
As a private, not-for-profit community hospital and academic teaching center, Bayfront serves the community by training
highly-competent medical professionals. Our goal is, and always has been, to produce sensitive competent family physicians
capable of practice in all settings anywhere in the United States.
Bayfront Medical Center offers an ACGME-accredited, three-year residency in Family Medicine, where residents are taught
the art and science of Family Medicine. Our residents serve as both students and teachers, reflecting the philosophy that
we learn best by what we teach others. Thus, residents in our program have opportunities to teach third and fourth year
medical students, as well as learn from our Sports Medicine fellows, faculty, and community physicians.
Throughout our training, residents will learn the importance of caring for "the whole person." Residents will address the
emotional and psychological issues of a patient, while managing the physical concerns.
We are glad you are interested in our program. We invite you to meet our exceptional residents and faculty and to visit our
state of the art facilities and the beautiful surrounding Tampa Bay area. Bayfront's Family Medicine residency program can
be the beginning of your successful and rewarding career. We look forward to meeting you.
