Sports Medicine Fellowship
Program Overview

Sports medicine fellows participate in both academic learning and clinical training activities to prepare them for private practice in their specialty field. The comprehensive program includes the following components:

Injury

  • Evaluation and treatment of acute injures, from sprains to fractures
  • On-site evaluation and management
  • Injury prevention and education

Training

  • Pre-participation exams
  • Sports nutrition counseling
  • Exercise prescription and counseling – Graded exercise testing, Direct VO2 determination, Pulmonary function testing.

  • Weight management with body fat analysis
  • Exercise induced asthma
  • External heat illness
  • Female athlete triad
  • Diabetes and exercise
  • Heart disease and exercise
  • Infection and exercise
  • Growth-related injuries
